Day 27: To Grandma's House (AGAIN!)

Kendra & I headed out on an almost 4 mile run this morning at 5:15am.  We were supposed to run a full 4 miles, but are unsure of whether or not we clocked it correctly.  It seems as though it was actually something like 3.5 miles.

Regardless... we ran to Kendra's grandma's house, down into a little development, to the town square, and then back to the school.  There were some unexpected hills, but we made it in what we figure to be a little less than 40 minutes (which is why we knew it couldn't have been a full 4 miles!).

The conditions today were MUCH less icy and I didn't feel like I was going to break my neck with each step... WHEW!  That's especially good because there was a very important volleyball match that I absolutely needed to play later in the evening... haha!

Thought to ponder:

My runner friend, Justin, shared this running insight the other day:  "If you hate running, you're doing it wrong".  Apparently the key to enjoying running is "turn it into an adventure instead of a chore", thanks to another seasoned runner, Eric.

Maybe we can learn to enjoy this running stuff after all...
