MERRY CHRISTMAS, everyone!!
Well, Kendra & I didn't actually run today... we ran yesterday! But after our run, we forgot to take video footage, so we met up later to do so... needless to say, our post is a little late!!
We did about 4 miles (3 of which were on the Rail Trail, 1 mile was through the city of York) in 47 minutes or so? I'm not really sure, as I'm not the timekeeper!! Regardless, it was a nice, flat, though slightly chilly run. We survived and actually felt like we could have kept going! Incredible, I know (especially for the end of only our 3rd week of training!)!!! :)
Check out the post-run video... it was recorded later on the evening on December 24th, which was the actual day of our run! :D
Day 13 1/2: A Christmas 5K (Sorta)
So this post is a little late, but I did manage to get it up here for memory's sake! On Christmas day, I had the pleasure of running with my big sis, Kari, and our friend, Amanda! They have been running now for about 2 months, but this was the first time we've gotten to run together. : ) We figured their was no better way to kick off Christmas day than with a 4+ mile run in the park. (Sorry about the "5K" in this post's title... "4+ Miles" just doesn't have the same ring to it!) The run was challenging, but the company was good, so I can't complain. They have finally been convinced to run the marathon with us--yay, girls! Amanda and I have about the same stride and pace, so, Athena and I have found another running buddy... Kari, on the other hand, tends to frolic on her run, sprinting ahead, and then lagging behind... I'm afraid we may loose her in the 26+ miles, but I'm sure she'll find someone to talk to. (love you, Kari!)

I had no idea you guys were shooting a video in there, haha... Anyway, I think it's cool how loud it is at 12:37am! I mean, when you think about it, that's a lot of excited chatter coming out of a church at past midnight... All about the baby! :)
ReplyDeletelove the Christmas post, Kendra!!! And it's a sweet pic of you guys! Good job convincing... hehe!
